Parties — Amy in Seattle

Some 23 years ago…in December of 1992, Dan was in the wedding of dear friends in the south…..i was 6 months pregnant with our Eden Rain, and decided to stay in Seattle. I had just quit my job and wanted to fill the time while Dan was away……so i invited 10 friends to join me for brunch on a wintry Saturday morning, and my Ladies Christmas Brunch was born. I've only missed one year of the last 23…….Dan lost his job nearly a year before, and in an attempt to curtail spending, i opted to skip the Brunch in 2012. But my dear friend Angie graciously organized a surprise Brunch outing that year at The Dahlia Lounge…..
